PEOPLE WHO INSPIRES

Idol - a person who you idolise, and inspires you in many ways. I am sure there is such a person, or maybe more in your life. As for me, my greatest Idol would be the prophet Muhammad himself as he is a complete leader. A successful General, a smart economist and a fair leader to his people. He wasn't a KING who ORDERS, instead he was a LEADER who LEADS. He is indeed the true leader in every sense. He is also the most influential person on Earth ; as chosen by Michael Hart in one of his books. Proving that Prophet Muhammad is recognised and acknowledged even by the West.

"Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's great religions, and became an immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive." - Michael Hart.

Prophet Muhammad isn't the only person I idolise. In this modern and progressing world, thr person I respect most ( other than my family members ) would be Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad ; the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is the critical thinker, the dare-to-dream idealist who totally transforms the former agricultural-country-Malaysia to the current progressive-economic-Malaysia. He is also the brave Malaysian who dares to stand up and give his opinion, even condemn the West sometimes if he thinks the West is doing something wrong , i.e, meddling in some other county's business. This former doctor isn't afraid to share his thought openly and this is proven through his blog posts ( chedet.cc ) . During his time as Malaysian PM, there wasn't a single ethnic crisis, further proving his capabilities as a leader. Now years after his reign, I would say, he is the greatest leader Malaysia ever had.

All these while, those two person had been the only human beings who managed to inspire me greatly. But for this past week, I think I might have found another person who does inspire me - but I don't idolise him though, he's still young. Before I introduce him, let me tell you a story.

And so, I was doing some research on scholarship when I came across a twitter account @TwtUpCampus who was the curated by a Malaysian student in USA. His name is Aizan Fahri (twitter : @aixnr ) , 20 years old. He shared his experience in Rochester, New York and I am awed. He is young but he had experienced so much that I felt so small. He is damn matured too, pardon my language. His maturity really shows in his writing too. ( savant.caspershire.net/ ) . I am also thankful that he shared on how he managed to get the opportunity to study there. He even made a podcast session together with his friend who is studying in London, Faiz . They talked about many useful stuff and they were very laid back too. During his short, but beneficial week as a TwtUpCampus curator, I am sure he managed to inspire many others. Hopefully, I can get the same opportunity as he did.

xoxo,Sol.
